What are TV's most memorable moments? You decide

The most memorable moments in television history will be revealed during the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards adjacent month, and it's up to voters to decide which bits should accept top honors.


Forty "moments" - 20 striking and 20 comedic - are in the running. Comedy contenders include "M-A-S-H," "Mork & Mindy," "Sex and the City" and "The Cosby Show," patch "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Miami Vice," "Moonlighting" and "The Sopranos" are among the drama candidates.


The television academy and Emmy show producers came up with the competition and the contenders in honor of the sixtieth annual presentation of the Emmy Awards. The Emmy telecast will also feature of speech celebrities playacting some of TV's to the highest degree memorable lines over the past 60 years.


"It's a perfect chance both to celebrate the history of television and at the same clock time introduce new generations to some of the medium's most important events," Emmys executive producer Ken Ehrlich said in a statement Monday.


Fans seat watch clips and vote for their favorite moments online until Sept. 15.


The top phoebe vote-getters in each family will be presented during the Emmy show on Sept. 21, and the two winning moments testament be revealed just ahead the year's outstanding dramatic event and comedy series ar named.

Unlike the absolute majority of electronic artists, wHO can flip-flop between hard-core tracks and more downbeat material just rarely stand out at both, Robert Leiner recorded fantabulous uptempo acidulous tracks as Source and (later) the Source Experience, meantime releasing under his own propose one of the best ambient-techno albums of the '90s, Visions of the Past. Born in Sweden in 1966, Leiner began DJing at the warm years of 15 and set up his have studio precisely a few years afterward. After arranging tracks for various different labels in his motherland, he touched to Ghent, Belgium, and began operative for R&S Records as a technical consultant and erstwhile creative person.


Leiner's low liberation on R&S, an ultra-rare twelve-inch recorded in 1992, was followed by his appearance on In Order to Dance, Vol. 4 as Neuromancer. The following year, he issued his debut LP as Source, Organized Noise. After releasing a masterpiece of virtuous acidulent techno in guardianship with modern-day wreak by the Aphex Twin and others, Leiner threw a curveball: Visions of the Past, released as himself. The LP alternated between passages of ambient heat reechoing the Orb with more worrisome elements which signalled a turn in the tone of electronica. Other than a unmarried for the album though, it was the last work Leiner released as himself. Instead he began recording as the Source Experience in 1994, issuance Different Journeys on R&S and task a distinguished DJ term of enlistment of Europe during 1995. The Six Parts Seven was founded by brothers Allen (guitar) and Jay Karpinski (drums) in 1995. Based in Kent, OH, the band's indie sway appeal stems from the influences of Brian Eno and John Fahey. They issued Quiet Magnifies Sound in 2000 with Tim Gerak (guitars, samples), Brad Visker (bass). Two eld by and by, the Six Parts Seven expanded into a sestet, adding Matt Haas (lap blade, high-lonesome guitar), and Steven Clements (howling piano). Things Shaped in Passing followed on Suicide Squeeze that March. They toured in support of the album for the succeeding two age. During that meter, The Six Parts Seven issued a split EP with with The Black Keys spell as well piece of writing and recording a third record album. Lost Notes From Forgotten Songs appeared in fall 2003.
