Sgt. Serpent, Vomit up Knuckle duster, UT Biggs, Arm, and John Gredal comprise the labored, aggressive metallic element sounds of Seattle's Monster Hunting watch. They aquiline up with Aaron Sprinkle (MxPx, Dolour, Poor Old Lu) for their Solid state State self-titled debut, which appeared in fall 2002. Their individual identities were later revealed as brothers (and ex-Training for Utopia members) utterer Ryan Kenneth Clark and guitar player Don Mark Clark, drummer Jesse Splosh (ex-Poor Old Lu), bassist Joe Dunn, and guitar player Kris McCaddon (ex-Embodyment). Summer of Dark was issued in mid-2004, after which a couple membership changes occurred. Besprinkle left to liaison up Dead Poetic and was replaced by Timothy "Lawrence Peter Berra" Isaac Watts (ex-Lonely Black Maria), and McCaddon exited to be replaced by Ethan Luck (at 1 meter of the O.C. Supertones). Triptych followed in 2005.
